What is Celebrate Recovery?
Celebrate Recovery is a 12 step program, based on the principles of God’s Word, looking to Jesus Christ as your higher power, depending on the Holy Spirit to empower you to find freedom from the hurts, habits and hang-ups of life!
This program teaches you how to apply God’s word to your life so that you can live your life as God intended. Through teaching, small groups, accountability, prayer, love and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, we have seen dramatic transformations…YOU CAN CHANGE!
Purpose
The purpose of Main Place Christian Fellowship’s “Celebrate Recovery” program is to fellowship and celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through the “8 Recovery Principles.” This Experience allows us to “be changed.” We open the door by sharing our experiences, strengths and hopes with one another. In addition we will become willing to accept God’s grace in solving our lives’ problems.
This experience allows us to “be changed.” By working and applying these Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually. We become free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others.
As we progress through the program we discover our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power - Jesus Christ, the one and only true Higher Power.
